[SOLVED] Will I be able to get 3200mhz with Ripjaws v on a Ryzen build?

Solution
I should have mentioned that along with having the same motherboard as the original poster I also have Ripjaws V memory with no AMD certification but working fine at 3400 with my AMD setup. Unfortunately the ram manufacturers can, (and do), change the underlying ram in their modules depending on what is available so it's still a case of having to try it. Even buying the exact ram modules someone else says works for them may not work for you. One Ryzen 5 1600af may handle ram frequencies of 3200 or higher, another 1600af might struggle to go beyond 2933.

Your motherboard supports up to 3200mhz RAM, however the CPU you have picked only supports up to 2933mhz so you will not be able to utilize the full capability of the 3200mhz ram. To support 3200mhz, you would need a CPU such as a Ryzen 5 3600. Therefore, you can use it, it'll just run at a max of 2933mhz.

Actually your CPU only "officially" support up to 2933. You should be able to reach higher speeds but there's no guarantee. I have a second generation Ryzen too (2600x) and I can go as high as 3400 with my CPU and the same motherboard. There's no way to really know, except to try it.

Good to know Thanks for the help everyone
But I’m still not sure about the Ripjaws v
because it says it’s designed for intel is that a problem? or can I just use it on a Ryzen cpu

"Designed for Intel" is mainly just marketing blurb. DDR4 PC4-25600 is a universal standard and will work with any CPU/Motherboard that supports DDR4
