Will i be able to overclock the i7-8700K?

I'm new to PC building and was wondering whether I can overclock this processor:

Yes, any intel CPU with a K at the end of it can be overclocked. However your motherboard also needs to support overclocking, you would need a Z370 board to overclock the 8700k.

You;re going to need a Z370 series chipset based board to avail the overclocking ability from the processor and the ram side of things. You're also going to need to look at DDR4-3200MHz ram kits as bare minimums since you can achieve that frequency without much hassle.

I hate to sound like a jerk, but if you don't even know which CPUs are overclockable, then you probably shouldn't be messing with overclocking at all. Do some real research before you end up jacking up your gear. You gotta crawl before you can walk.
