Will I be able to play games like skyrim on a AMD Radeon R7 240 Graphics Card

I can't think of a £400/$657 laptop that would be a decent gamer. But you may want to check with the Gaming Laptops Junky:

Either way, almost any dual core/quad core Desktop and an R7 240 would be a slightly better gamer. But as Simmons33 mentioned, increase your budget a tad and go for the HD 7750 or R7 250.

well, I have that very same card, with an amd a10 6790k @ 4Ghz processor, and skyrim goes just fine on high settings (actually I recomend reducing decals, because it makes the night too dark) and 1440x900 RES. I get an average of 35 fps with very little in-game variation and game experience is great.

Furthermore, depite the card having a somewhat bad rep (since it's a cheap ddr3 card) I have no complains, I have played some of the heavy hitters and it goes just ok, it gives enough. AC IV, black flag runs at an avg of 25 FPS on MID settings, with HIGH enviromental quality, no motion blur, no Vsync. it does goes as down as 20 fps on heavy graphics situations, like foggy areas with several ships and cannon fire, but thats just me beeing stubborn. I could lower resolution and other graphics to get higher fps.

All in all, its a cheap card. no BF4 multiplayer for you, but it does well enough to keep you happy.

hello buddy i am a r7 240 user i have r7 240 gddr5 version of this gpu and i playing this game on 1400x900 at mid settings without lag nd middle earth shadow of mordor at same resolution on high as well i usually play on this resolution because of my monitor supports it max and my full specs are

i3 3.30ghz 4 gb of ddr5 ram and r7 240 1 gb gddr5

About as good as Roopjeet Singh's system. He says it is playable at 1440x900 at mid settings. If you game at a higher resolution, expect some loss of frame rate.

If you would want to know something about your system running games go to www.game-debate.com you can input your computer's specifications and it will compare them to the recommended and minimum of the game. Also, if you were going to spend that much on a computer I would go for an r9 270x 4gb. You will need the 4gb of DDR5 RAM for games. It is now down to $170 if I am not mistaken. I use that now and it maxes most games out at 1920x1080
