Will I be able to put a GPU in the Asus IPIBL-LB?

I have this old motherboard, and I want to put a GPU on it since there is none on the system currently. When I took it to a local computer shop they told me the board only supports integrated graphics, so I haven't tried to buy a GPU. Although, when looking on the internet, I found out that the motherboard has a PCI-E 2.0 slot, and also many people that have successfully used a GPU with this motherboard. My question is, is there any specific board of this kind that doesn't support GPU's? Or should I just buy one?

tldr; I have the motherboard, local shop told me I can't get a GPU to work on it, internet says the opposite.

If so, it does indeed have a PCIe x16 slot and should support any gfx card.
