Hi I just dished out £1,400 for a lenovo a720, which in my stupidity, thought could handle most things I could throw at it. Wrong. I tried playing crysis, but only managed 12fps on low. I can run arma 2 fine on high, with no noticeable lag. I am considering getting arma 3 alpha, but this looks like a slightly more demanding game. I hear it is more optimised though. Will I be able to run it with these specs?
RAM: 8gb
CPU: intel core i7 3630QM @2.4 ghz
GPU: nvidia gt 630 (I know :( )
OS: windows 8. 64 bit.

Thank you in advance.

Your PC doesn't seem that bad and the CPU is really good, But I'd upgrade the OS to Windows 7 If I were you, But you should still be getting more than 12 FPS in Crysis on low, What resolution are you playing at? But you should be able to handle it at least on the lowest settings

Unfortunately, no this game is horrible with i7's sad to say since this engine does not utilize it to its full potential as well as the gpu. sorry for that I have a 7850 and 6300.

I think it's because of the quite large 27" screen. Crysis is set to native 1920 by 1080.
