Will i be able to run games smoothly with this computer?

Dell Inspiron 3000 Series i3847-4617BK Desktop (3.2 GHz Intel Core i5-4460 Processor, 8GB DDR3, 1TB HDD, Windows 8.1)

NO cant upgrade a dell cause well its a dell , plus no GPU = no gaming... hd4000 dosent cut it don't care what intell is trying to sell , would make a good office computer.

Even if i upgraded the graphics card? What is a GPU? Would there be another computer that you would reccomend around the same price range?

you could build one, amd system, 100 for mobo am3+ 100 for 8210 , radeon R9 280 230, cpu cooler 50, ddr3 2x16gb 100, psu and case 650watts 107 = 8 cores good grafics and you could overclock cpu to (processor to i5 standard easily) i think we reached budget but you would still need a hard drive for like 79.

Hey, man, so I checked your desktop on Amazon and there's people who said they installed a new graphics card, but apparently you'll need a new power supply as well, 500w should be enough, look for a little quality for the power supply like 80+ Bronze. And the graphics card, well, those games you named aren't too demanding so you can get like a GeForce GTX 750 Ti or 950 so you don't break the bank, depends on your budget really. Take into account the space inside your case. That would be it because your processor is really good and you've 8GB RAM
