I was thinking about getting a new laptop, I don't really play anything but Dota and I want to be able to stream.

Will the Lenovo Y510P be strong enough?
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ
GPU: NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 750M, 2GB
8GB RAM

And what about the Y580P, any reason to get it over the Y510P? Seems like both the GPU and the CPU are stronger in the Y510P.

Thanks alot!

Any of those laptops will play that game comfortable-- the Lenovo Y510P with the:
GPU: NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 750M, 2GB, Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ, 8GB RAM is fine..
DOTA 2 doesn't really require alot to play it at a decent settings...
In comparing the Y580P and Y510P, the Y580P has the GTX 660M graphics card which is better than the GT750 THE Y510P has. It however has less RAM, as well as a slightly less powerful processor.. It will give you a better performance though on DOTA as it has better graphics , an up to standard processor and even though it has 6 GB RAM, DOTA wont use more than that.

But doesn't Dota (and all source games) need a stronger CPU than GPU? And I want to stream which is just CPU.

In this case sholdn't I go for the stronger CPU over the GPU?

As I said before, the y580 has a slightly weaker processor but not by a big deal.. But if you are going to be stream, you might want to go for the one with the better CPU and in that case, the machine with the bigger memory (8 GB) would be better as the memory would help with the processing... But the thing is that any of those laptops you get will manage DOTA well..
