Hey guys,
I'm going to buy a new PC, hopefully this week.
I'm not sure if I should buy overclockable PC or not.
The non overclockable model (1x16 2133mhz RAM instead of 2x8 3000mhz, B150 instead of Z170, simpler cooler and of course 6700 non K) costs $200 less and I'm not sure it's worth it.
I'm going to use this PC for many tasks and I'd use the RAM a lot (Virtual machines for instance) and memory speed if crucial to me.
I'm new to PC building world and overclocking, and I would like to hear your thoughts if it's even possible to run stable while setting XMP profile to 3000Mhz and also increasing the clock speed noticeably (4.6Ghz or higher is good for me).
The motherboard is going to probably be the Gigabyte's GA-Z170-HD3P, which supports up to 3466Mhz RAM.
Thanks!
