Am I able to use my computer setup if I bring my whole computer setup from Canada to Singapore? I know both countries use different standard voltages (Canada and america with 120V at 60Hz while Singapore uses 220V/240V at 50Hz. The outlets shape and size are also different. Will it work just fine by using an adapter on my monitor and power supply unit cables? Or will I have to purchase a new monitor and power supply unit when I'm in Singapore... I don't want to cause any risks. Help appreciated. Thanks

Solution
Usually adapters only adapts the shape, not the voltage. You will have to find out if your PSU and monitor works with both 120V and 240V. It's usually printed on a label.
Example: my Benq G2412HD monitor bought in 2009, has a label that says "100-240V~50/60Hz".
