Will i be able to use my windows 8.1 key after upgrading to windows 10

Im wondering about what will happen to my OEM Windows 8.1 key if i chose to upgrade to windows 10 with a clean install. Say i didn't like Windows 10 , if i do a clean install of Windows 8.1 on the same machine can i still use my Windows 8.1 key for activation or will it be permanently upgraded and bound to Windows 10?

(just to avoid confusion, I own a legitimate OEM Windows 8.1 key ((with the disk ofc)) and the question is can i use my original win 8.1 key on the SAME pc after I upgrade to windows 10 and decide I don't like it so i delete windows 10 and reinstall windows 8.1)

Yes & No. If you upgrade to win 10 and keep it for more than one month, then it becomes a win 10 key. If you decided within 1 month you don't like win 10 then you can roll back.
