Will I be limited by my 2gb in my GTX 680?

Some time last year I bought myself a gtx 680, and for some reason I did not get the 4gb version. I think somewhere I read that I wouldn't particularly need it. But I did get the superclock version. (it was like 20$ more) Now after reading quite a bit, I have seen many post about 2gb of vram holding you down.
Did I make the wrong decision?

Other Specs
i7 2600k 3.4ghz
GTX 680
8gb Ram G.Skill
1050w Corsair

at 2560x1600 it will break 2GiB with only the high res texture packs and official DLC installed. Granted that's with max MSAA though, and MSAA chews up a lot of memory.

Oh you can certainly play it, but if the combination of resolution, objects, and level of detail cause it to smash past the VRAM barrier it will either lose performance, start dropping elements such as textures and geometry, or swap memory with the system SDRAM which can further impact performance.

Skyrim is quite playable on a 2gig card. I play Skyrim on my GTX 670 2GB SLI setup at 5670x1080 with no problems at all. In all the games that support Eyefinity/Surround I have not had a problem with even one of them even though I only have 2GB cards.

EVGA will be offering one with their ACX cooler. but 760 will running out of grunt before it can fully utilize that much VRAM. there were test even 2 670 are still not powerful enough for to utilize 4GB of VRAM.

Skyrim is fine even with mods. It is only a problem with some mods, or a ton of mods.

I can't test what you propose, but you also have to realize that just because a game can use over 2gb of vram, doesn't mean it needs it either. Often times a game that shows it is using 2.2gb of vram, runs equally well on 2gb of vram if the extra vram isn't there.
