Is it ok to use a CV 450 with this build - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/r8nVzN
I will replace it as soon as I find a CX 550 in stock for a good price

i see a cx650 on newegg im seeing reviews about the it making a pop sound, should i be worried?CV shouldn't power anything more than a GPU that needs a power connector. CX 550 is, however, and it's a great PSU for the price.

oh ok, thanks. its my first time making a pc so im just a little nervous about picking bad partsA couple reviews out of about a million sold? No. You shouldn't be worried.
EDIT: Yeah... 69 reviews total, but Newegg probably sells about 69 units of these PER DAY. And of those 69 reviews, only 12 of them are one egg.
What? That's about 17% and that's no bueno. I'm pretty sure it's lower than that, it's newegg's problem, not CX's problem. I know grey CX's track record is pretty good.A couple reviews out of about a million sold? No. You shouldn't be worried.

This is true for all components... But if it reaches >20% on Amazon I'd still avoid it. My point was there's something in newegg that skews the results, even in Amazon it's like below 10%.That's my point. Hardly anyone reviews a PSU when it works. They tend to only review the PSU when it fails.
So while the number of one egg reviews are 17% of the total number of reviews, the total number of reviews represent < 1% of their total sales through Newegg. It's horse crap.
