Will I bottleneck? (GeForce GTX 760 + AMD Quad-Core FX 4300 3.8Ghz)

So, at the moment, I'm running the FX 4300 at 3.8Ghz along with the Radeon 7700 card and everything is going just fine. I've had the GeForce GTX 760 for a while but never got around to installing it in my system.. Well I want to do that, but I'm afraid it might bottleneck my CPU. I don't know too much about bottlenecking except that it basically means that the CPU wouldn't be able to "keep up" with the GPU. So yeah, all help is appreciated.

I'll be using this build for gaming (Minecraft, COD games, League) and also just normal use (Skype, 9gag). I use my computer probably 8 hours a day and (sometimes) let it run overnight to download torrents.
Current GPU: AMD Radeon 7700 1GB
New GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5
CPU: AMD FX Vishera 4300 3.8Ghz
RAM (Just in case it matters): 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz
I run my display on 1080p. Minecraft on 1080p. Other games on 1360x768

In some games, yes, the FX-4300 will bottleneck that card. Not bad, but some. But if you already have the card, why aren't you using it? Bottleneck or not, it will be faster than the HD 7700.

So, you are going to let the GTX 760 just sit unused because you don't want any bottleneck? Bottleneck doesn't hurt anything. It simply means your card will not quite perform up to its maximum capability because the CPU can't keep up.

Not dumb. No one knows everything. I'm finding a lot of folks think that, though. So, don't feel bad.

When the processor is working at 100% and it still cannot keep up with the gfx card, it becomes the bottleneck in the data flow. No harm is physically done, you just have an expensive gfx card that is waiting on the CPU most of its time.

Technically, you'd want to either pair up the CPU with a less expensive card that won't outperform the CPU... or you would want to upgrade the CPU to keep up with the gfx card. In your case, since you already have the card, use it. Some games are not very CPU intensive. In those games the gfx card will have more CPU clock cycles to work with because it won't be busy with other tasks. Where you will probably see heavy CPU bottleneck is in online gaming on busy servers with 64 player that the CPU has to keep track of.
