Question Will I get input lag, when connecting a monitor to a laptop?

I wanna buy a Lenovo Legion Laptop. With a RTX 2060 GPU and i7 9750H CPU and a 144 Hz screen.

But I wanna game on it like a Game PC. So I wanna link my 144 Hz and 1 ms monitor to it through DP port and with a keyboard and mouse.

Will I get any input lag? And do I keep the 144 Hz of my monitor?

Every device has input lag. I wouldn't expect the lag from a laptop to be any different than from a desktop.
