Will I get the same FPS with the Ryzen 1600 from a 1400?

I am mainly gaming on a 900p monitor right now with a GTX 1060 6gb and DDR4 2400 8Gb ram.

I am planning on upgrading my B350 motherboard as I fried the Ethernet port and two USB 2.0 ports in the I/O. As well as buying new 1080p 60hz monitor.

I was thinking of either upgrading my 1400 to a 1600, or just upgrade my GPU from a GTX 1060 to a GTX 1070 Ti.

But like my question, will I have the same FPS on a R5 1600 since it will be using the same Graphics Card a 1060 6gb?

It completely depends on the situation.

In some scenarios, where the GPU is the limiting factor or bottleneck, upgrading your CPU for the most part will not increase your framerate. Whereas in scenarios where your CPU is the limiting factor/bottleneck, a CPU upgrade would bring frame rate improvements.

Bottlenecks shift throughout games and in the game. It depends on the game, game settings, and resolution.

Also, if you're already receiving 60FPS or over, there is no need to target higher as it won't be noticeable.
