will i have anything special to do to reactivate windows after upgrading my motherboard ?

i do have a valid win 8 pro license which worked fine last time for activating windows after a change of motherboard.

Have you upgraded yet? if not, look in settings/update & security/activation

If is says "Windows is activated with a digital license" then its currently tied to your motherboard, you can attach it to your email address by following steps here - Reactivating win 10 on new motherboard

If it says "Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account" then its already tied to your email address, you need to log in with a user tied to this email address to activate new motherboard. The steps are in the link above.

If you have upgraded already, you may need to ring Microsoft and explain what you did, they should move the activation across for you.
