Hey guys i'm upgrading my card from a 760 (2gb) to a 970 (4gb). I'm worried that I would not have enough power to run it and if I did would I be able to add a extra 8gb (RAM). 600w corsair power supply

The 900 series has pretty good power management and draws a relatively low amount of wattage. If you are currently running a 760, chances are you should be fine to upgrade both your GPU to a 970 along with upgrade the RAM to 8GB.
Would help to know what PSU you have though.

Despite being much more powerful the GTX 970 actually uses less power than the GTX 760. So no you don't NEED a new PSU but if you have a poor quality PSU, I wouldn't rely on it to power a $300 GPU.
