I am building a gaming pc (it's my first time). I have a Nvidia GeForce 460, an AMD a8-5600k quad-core processor, and 500w PSU. Will my PSU be enough to power those? Of course i have a motherboard and all the the components. Any input helps. Thanks!

what type (brand) of PSU are we talking about? 500w should be fine for your system but the nvidia 4 series where monsters and if it's a cheap PSU you might want to upgrade that...looking at your system with 1 hard drive and 1 optical drive an 2 120mm fans your APU and you graphics card the PSU calculator gives me around 370watts so you should be fine as long as the powersupply you have is working properly
