Will I have to replace my 700w psu if I want to upgrade my gpu or cpu?

Sometime soon I will be ordering a 700 watts evga psu, my current build will soon be
-AMD FX-8370
-AMD Wraith CPU cooler
-3 120mm fans
-GA-78lmt-usb3
-gtx 750ti
-700 watts evga psu

So if I am getting the 700watt power supply, I was wondering if in the future if I wanted to upgrade my cpu or gpu, if I would also have to upgrade my psu to something with higher wattage? Example: Upgrading my gpu to gtx 980ti, and upgrading my cpu to FX-9370 with a cpu water cooler...would I be able to still use my 700w? or would I have to upgrade?

I dont have it yet, but the 8370 is 125w, and my motherboard says it supports up to 125watts! Is there anything that could go wrong with it? oh and btw, I will never be overclocking..shouldnt I be fine with the 8370?

Your motherboard doesnt support a 9370, those boards struggle with 125w cpus. Putting a 220w cpu in your motherboard is likely to start a fire. The entire 9xxx series of space heaters are best avoided. By the time you buy the cpu, an adequate cpu cooler and a motherboard that can support it you could usually get a faster Intel cpu. Don't get the evga 700b get the 750w b2 its a much better psu.

Will I still be fine with the 8370 though? oh and also Im reading the reviews of two different psus, and the ones for the 700w are all good ratings without major complaints, but the 750 b2 psu has some major complaints about it frying the mother board and stuff!

If you have already FX8370, stay with it. FX9370 is only a big joke. It is simply a massive factory OC of your current FX8370.
FX9370 is also very hot.
Upgrading from FX8370 to FX9370 is only a big non-sense.
If you really want to upgrade the processor, I know it will be expensive but do yourself a favor and go for Intel.

If you still haven't bought/had that FX8370 and the mobo, rethink everything over and consider Intel as an option too.

I know, all AMD fans will bash me because of this but Intel really has simply the better processors today.
I am neither AMD fan nor Intel fan, I switch between brands all the time to get the best rig for the money I am paying.
Just use your clear mind before you regret things you will do.

Okay sure, but now im really concerned that my current motherboard wont be able to handle the fx 8370...I don't know much about PCs so im having a hard time understanding why it might not work!?

If your current mobo is GA-78lmt-usb3, this one can run FX8370. Gigabyte says so in the compatibility list according to Gigabyte's website.

If that is not the case, bash Gigabyte!

What is your current processor?
What is your current mobo? Do you have already GA-78lmt-usb3?
Or simply just post your current rig specs, not your going-to-be specs.
Upgrading from FX6300 to FX8370 is also considered as relatively a waste of money, if you can afford Intel incl. new mobo.

My current Processor is a FX-4130, and I already have the GA-78LMT-USB3

Well my current FX-4130 is 125w so I don't see why I couldn't run the FX-8370 which is also 125w...

From FX4130, yes, going for FX8370 is not bad as an upgrade.

And, about FX8370 compatibility, if Gigabyte was really listing processors in the compatibility list, which would not work properly...I would never buy motherboards from Gigabyte ever again.
I do not think Gigabyte really does such a thing.
In some countries, if such case is true and can be proven, Gigabyte will face the legal consequences!
If anyone from Gigabyte is reading this, this is quite a serious topic and you should respond.

Great, now if you don't mind me asking. What PSU would YOU (@guanyu21079) recommend for me?
The EVGA 700w B1, or the EVGA 750w B2?
