So I currently have an AMD A10-9700 in a B350-F Gaming motherboard. Come summer im looking to upgrade to a Ryzen 5 2600X however PC parts picker is flagging:

Some AMD B350 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Pinnacle Ridge CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.

Will I still be able to use my motherboard or will i need a new one?
Will I just have to update the bios before I change the cpu?

I have BIOS version 3805 06/03/2018. (From what I can tell.)

Another question is that if i can get the Ryzen 5 2600X will it support 2666mHz Ram? It specifies on the amd website 2933mHz. is that just a minimum combined?

Yes, just look through your mobo manufacturers BIOS revisions and the notes should say which one (and up) make the board ready for the 2xxx chips.

I cannot imagine that RAM speed being an issue that is unworkable. Certainly may change performance to a small degree.
