As many of you guys may or may not know, the new Z170 chipset has been announced. I'm planning to upgrade to the new Skylake CPUs. The PC that I'm using currently is the first PC I've ever built. I was wondering if I'm going to lose all my data in my HDD & SSD when I plug it in the new PC.
So, am I going to lose all my data?
Current specs: http://pcpartpicker.com/b/DrCypg
-Intel i5 4460
-H97 mITX MOBO
-8GB RAM DDR3
-120GB SSD
-1TB HDD
-GTX 970
-500W 80+ Bronze PSU
Upgrades: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/MjgsNG (ATX) / http://pcpartpicker.com/p/PjgsNG (mITX)
-Skylake CPU (not sure which one to pick)
-AIO liquid cooler
-Z170 ATX MOBO (mITX if available)
-16GB DDR4
-650W 80+ Gold
-New case (not getting one if I can find a mITX MOBO)
Is it worth the upgrade?
Any answer will be appreciated.
