I have a ryzen 7 3700x and 2x8 GB of corsair ram at 3000 mhz.
I also have 1 stick of some weird brand called "goodram" which is 16 GB and runs at 2400 mhz.
Currently I only have the 2 corsair sticks running in dual channel, but I was wondering if I would lose out on alot of performance if I were to add that 1 stick of 16 GB.
Also, if I were to do this, where would be the best places to put the ram sticks?
I already tried this configuration:
A1: empty
A2: corsair stick
B1: corsair stick
B2: goodram stick
And the PC boots into windows successfully but the ram downclocks itself to 2133 mhz when I do that. Would it be better to keep the corsair sticks in the dual channel slots and add the 16 gb stick in slot A1 or B1?
Thanks for any help.
