Will I lose everything?

About a week ago one of my USB ports shorted and screwed my MOBO
Now I have to buy a new one and will also be buying another CPU
I only just bought a new HDD a few days before because my old one broke some weeks ago but didn’t have time to move everything over ( so now I had everything on the one)
Questions are;

If I use this brand new HDD with the PC, install windows onto it etc. will I be able to set up the main one I used before and a) copy everything over to the new one or b) just set it up and use the pc like nothing happened?

If I do either of these, will I lose my stuff?

If I’m unclear about anything let me know
Any helps appreciated

Solution
Games? Maybe, stream games should still be usable. Other games may require re-install. Music, probably. You may have to re-import it into whatever software you use to manage/play it.

What I’m thinking is like

Taking the HDD that I had in my PC before the incident
Then installing windows on the new one and then later setting the old one up as a secondary and still have all my files if you know what I mean? Just don’t want to have to reinstall games/music etc.
