[SOLVED] Will i lose my :D files when upgrading from xp

Hello.
Am willing to upgrade from Windows xp to Windows 8 using an ISO file so i moved everything to my D drive but now I've got a doubt. Will i lose my D drive files when i upgrade my Windows as this is my first time trying it and my disk isn't a partition of the C disk.

"Files" ? No.

If it's a separate drive, you can/should disconnect that drive while installing a new version of Windows to your main drive.

Programs etc, you'll need to reinstall.

Go get a external usb hdd and make a backup copy of your important files.
