Will i need a USB 3.0 motherboard plug converter?

I have a old motherboard and i just bought a new case The NZXT Phantom 630 and there was a usb 3.0 cable and i think my motherboard wont be compatible with it so if it is not compatible with my motherboard how will i get a cable that will convert that to the older usb plug Thanks

Some cases will have a front panel cable with an option to use either 2.0 or 3.0 usb headers on the motherboard.
If the case comes with a usb3.0 only header, you could buy a add in card that gives you a 3.0 internal header like this:
