Will i need to 8 pin power connectors for the GTX 980TI GAMING 6G?

This is my first gaming build. It says on the website that it has 2 8 pin connectors but only comes with one cable. Do i not need another cable?

You do not need to use that adapter that came with your gpu. You are meant to use the 6+2 pin pcie power cable from your power supply. Yes you need both slots plugged into the card.
If your psu does not support two 8 pin pcie cables, your psu is not sufficient enough to power a GTX 980Ti.

yes, but the powersupply usually has that other 8 pin cable
or ignore the 1 that came with the 980ti if you have 2 that came with your powersupply

It comes without cables. Your PSU needs to have these.

The cable it comes with is an adapter you should not have to use it. What power supply do you have? For a 980 ti you want something with two 8pin pcie express connectors or two 6+2pin pcie express connectors.

Your psu has 4 6+2 pcie cables. Use two of them for your GTX 980TI. You do not need that adapter.
With EVGA cables, they are labelled as "VGA".
