Question Will I need to do anything on my computer before replacing CPU?

I am planning on replacing my CPU with an upgrade. Everything is compatible, although i wanted to know if I will need to do anything on my computer before doing it, such as installing or uninstalling any software or do anything to the bios.

Assuming the mobo and BIOS version supports whatever CPU you are trying to install then no you shouldn't have to do anything besides install the CPU.

As we do not know what parts are involved, no idea what you might need to do, if anything.

update the bios, if your new CPU requires a newer version - it'll avoid boot issues or backout issues if you bend pins etc...
