Question Will I shorten the life of NAS and its HDD if I turn it off too often?

Considering to buy a Synology NAS and Ironwolf HDDs. In case I get bothered by the noise, can I turn it on only when I use it? In other words, treat it like an external storage rather than having it on 24/7? Let’s say doing it no more than once a day. Will doing so make the NAS and HDD fail sooner than having them on 24/7?

For your sample size of ONE...it makes no difference.

Also, once you see the startup time on that NAS, you'll probably rethink that on/off thing.
