Will I suffer a downgrade if I get this 1050 Ti to replace my dead 280X?

As you all know, GPUs are not cheap, especially where I live, so, instead of getting a 1060 6GBs, I've been considering the idea of the 1050 Ti that one store owner offered me. It's more or less 40% cheaper than the 1060s that I have found.

Thing is, would this 1050 Ti be a downgrade? Some numbers are lower, but others are higher.
The 1060s are a lot more pricey, but I still can pay it I you guys think that the 1050 is not a good idea. I'm not really searching for an upgrade, I was pretty fine with the 280X, but don't want a downgrade either.

I'll leave the specs of the two cards here. I'm not good with these numbers. Thanks:

Ah, I see.

In that case, if you want a true upgrade go for the 1060. RX 470 is also a great choice if you bump into one that's a bit more expensive than 1050 Ti.

I would say it is a sideways move. Not worth it aside from the reduced power consumption and some newer features.

You should look at a GTX1060 as a minimum worthwhile upgrade, or an RX570 / RX580.

Really depends on the rest of your system where you would see the most gains.

I found some AMD cards, but a lot more pricey, that's why I was thinking in the GTX 1000 series.
I have an i5-4670, with 8GBs of RAM DDR3.

Nope, never got used hardware for my PC. Here, I think that is more trouble than it's worth, I just prefer to buy new. But if I lived in a big city I would consider it.

Considering that the 280x is dead. Anything is going to be an upgrade. The 1050ti is a neat card and if that's what you can afford then that is a great option. It seems you are comparing the 50ti to the 60 3gb since the 60 6gb seems to be roughly double the price. Is that right?

Personally, I wouldn't want to wait. I'd snag the 1050ti. It's comparable to what you had and has more vram than the 1060 3gb.

No, no, I was talking about the 6GBs version. The price difference is less than 50%, but probably it's like paying double if I search for NA/EU prices. Tech is really expensive in Argentina.
