I'm trying to do triple monitor 1080p gaming. I'm upgrading my 7750 to R9 290x. I'm wondering if my i5 3570k @3.4GHz will hold me back. If so does it just need some OCing or if what should i upgrade to?
input appreciated thank you

Solution
I use an i5 3570k and So far games run very well paired with a GTX 770. I know the R9 290x is a more powerful GPU but for now Intel Core i5 from Sandy Bridge and up will perform very well in games. the i5 3570k has very strong single-threaded performance as well as Multi core performance.
Note: A good thing to keep in mind in that Battlefield 4 will make better use of an AMD 8 core CPU like the FX 8350. Dice has had AMD optimizations made to their engine not only for their GCN GPUs but more so to AMD CPUs. and this may be a trend in the near future.
