Will i5 4460 bottleneck gtx 1070?And what will be the power requirement if i have that cpu and graphics card?Currently i have i3 4130 and Corsair cx 500W PSU. I'm thinking of upgrading to i5 4460 and i can't afford i7 right now.

Solution
For anyone who already has or is still considering purchasing the i5 4460, i.e. on ebay, to use with a high end GPU like the GTX 1070, it would be best to find benchmarks if possible. The answer would depend on which games you intend to play, and at which resolution.

Here are some relatively new examples with the i5 4460/ GTX 1070:

~~~~~~1080P~~~~~~
Grand theft auto 5 benchmark i5 4460 MSI GTX 1070
Crysis 3 1080p Ultra Settings Zotac GTX 1070 AMP Edition/ İ5 4460
The Witcher 3 1080P Ultra Settings Test Zotac GTX 1070 AMP Edition/İ5 4460
~~~~~~1440P~~~~~~

Crysis 3 GTX 1070 MAXED OUT 1440p Performance Test i5 4460

Yes, I own an i5-4460 with a 660Ti FTW+. The CPU is good for most games, but it will not keep up to par with a 1070 at all, you will bottleneck the GPU substantially.

Look at getting an i5-4690 or 4690k. I know this topic is a little old, but I felt the need to correct such bad advice given by others.

Sorry to say this but 4460 will bottlenek GTX 1070. My friend have 4570 with GTX 1070 and there is serious bottleneck in games like GTA V, Crysis 3, AC: Unity and Syndicate, BF1, BF3, BF4 and most other CPU intensive games.But dont lose hope you will still gate really good FPS, just some portion will be lost because of the bottleneck.

...I couldn't find GTA V with this combo, or with the comparable GTX 980ti either.

We can't be sure until we compare with an i5 4690K, its unlocked brother, or another chip.
Here is someone pairing the 4460 and 4690k with an AMD R9 380 with popular games:

4460 vs 4690k R9 380

Notice how in a very GPU bound game like Crysis 3, the bottleneck is the GPU (as expected), whereas a more quickly changing open-world game like GTA V shows the i5 4460 struggling to catch 60 Hz. It would achieve well over 60 Hz with a GTX 1070 in some games,, including GTA V.

For 4K gaming, GPU bottlenecking will keep you at 60Hz with just about any chip, and the i5 4460 probably wouldn't compromise the experience.

Check out this i5 750 driving a GTX 1080.
