Will i5 7600 work on Asus H170-PLUS D3

I have H170-PLUS D3 Motherboard and I was wondering if the i5 7600 would work with it. I've heard this doesn't work because of the DDR3 ram and also there is talk about BIOS update. Want to make sure that this will work.
If not I will just get the i5 6600k

Yes it will work as that is one of those LGA1151 boards that uses DDR3. BIOS update before installing the CPU would be important. If you don't upgrade the BIOS then the 7600 chip make not work until you do.

If you don't already have a 6th gen Intel chip then you may want to go with 6600k as you cannot perform this BIOS update without a CPU. You want BIOS version 2202 to be sure it will work with the 7600.
