I want to buy RTX 3070 and i don't know if my i7 7700 will be bottleneck for my new card or not. We know that 3070 is just a little bit better than 2080TI so can you tell me if it would bottleneck with 2080ti? So should I build new PC or just buy a new graphic card? I want to play on 1080p

My specs:
CPU: i7 7700
RAM: 16 GB 2400 MHz

Solution
The 7700 (nonK) has an all core turbo of 3.9 GHz at best....; the 3.6 GHz base clock specs likely hit after 30 seconds to a minute to maintain 65W TDP... In other words, I'd tailor my expectations in FPS... (If you had a Z-series board, perhaps XTU might let you set a higher TDP , remove the max turbo duration limits, and perhaps run all core 4.2 GHz, or max turbo, which might equal a stock 7700K?)

HOwever , if you are happy with whatever frame rates you used to have at 1080P low detail/quality, you can then do at 1440P ultra with a 3070...(I'd hope)

I have i7 7700 ,16gb 2133Mhz OC to 2266Mhz, RTX 3070, I mostly play COD MW Warzone, and my FPS is around 90-120fps only on relatively low settings, 1080p.

Here is what i noticed:
GPU time is 5ms while CPU time is 9ms and up. GPU usage is about 30-50% only CPU usage is also about 50-70% only.

I'm not sure if this is a sign of CPU bottleneck, but I am actually considering upgrading my CPU. But might try to upgrade monitor to 1440p first. I might get satisfied with 90-120fps if it is in 1440p.
