If I install windows onto my ssd, would I be able to boot from the ssd and still have access to all of my files from my hdd so I can manually move them to my ssd instead of cloning my entire drive?

Solution
Yes.....BUT....when you install Windows on your SSD.....make sure the SSD is the only drive connected.

Then power down.....and add the other drive.

Then when you boot....go to the BIOS just to MAKE SURE the SSD is still on top of the boot order. You should also see the HDD in the BIOS.

After you are in Windows you should see the HDD in Windows Explorer.
