Will intel 6th generation change its socket?

I am wondering if the socket of the 6th generation will be changed or not, and is ddr4 required for 6th generation?

no its will work with ddr3 ram but the socket will change to lga 1151

Skylake is rumored to be compatible with DDR3 only and that is all i know about that.

Rumors have mentioned ddr3 and ddr4 for skylake, but yes the socket will change from 1150 to 1151.

Last I heard Skylake was going to have ddr3 and ddr4 memory controllers. But its all just rumors and guesses till Intel releases the specs.
