Will intel check physical damage?

I accidentally dropped i5 6400 on the floor as resulted its corner got bent. However CPU is working perfectly but the problem is 1 ram slot is not working. I tested the same CPU to my friend computer and found that there also, 1 ram slot is not working. If I claim replacement warranty, will Intel send me a new CPU. Does Intel check faulty CPU. I got a new replacement of my ASRock motherboard even I accidentally bent CPU socket pins.

Intel, and any manufacturer, will check for physical damage first.
They would either send you a new processor, then charge you for the broken one once they check it out, or they just wont send you one if they wait to send it before they complete the test.

The motherboard RMA with bent pins is a rare occurrence, they generally dont allow that.

Yes, Intel will check for damage. Unlike when you conned ASRock, they will know you damaged it somehow and ship it back to you. CPU pins might bend, but it's hard to crack the chip.

I find it horrible that you've broke two different things. You should try to be more careful with this stuff.

You should probably stop building PCs if you damage components as often as you did here.

If you dropped the product and that is the reason it broke, that would make this is a clear case of customer negligence. Filing a warranty claim under those circumstances is fraudulent unless you have a non-limited warranty.

Most manufactures check for physical damage first.

Why do you think Intel switched to LGA sockets for their CPUs? One of the biggest benefits happens to be warranty claims for bent and broken pins.

a possibility is if something is damaged on the CPU it could be affecting the memory controller. or the OP damaged both his motherboard and his friends when he tried to test that bad CPU in another computer

Considering the memory controller is on the CPU, I can see a bend or missing/no contact pins removing the wiring needed to make that ram controller work. It makes total sense if you understand how things work.
