Will Intel Devil canyon i7-4790k 4.0ghz bottleneck 2 way GTX titan x in SLI?

I am planning to build a gaming pc finally. I will be mostly playing on 2.5k resolution or 2k on 144hz monitor. I was going to build system with i7-4790k with dual titan xs but some say CPU might bottleneck GPU's performance. I just need some confirmation from an expert. Please help! Any opinions or suggestions are appreciated~

No it will not bottleneck, i7 4790k as it will perform the best of any processor for gaming avaliable now. If you getting 2x Titan x s, you should get a 4k screen to match or you will be wasting your money and not taking advantage of 12 GB of vram. X99 platform will give more pcie Lanes, but cost you more with 5930k bring the first processor with 40 pcie Lanes.

The 4790k would not bottleneck any two video cards on the market. I wouldn't buy the Titan X though since the AMD 300 series is around the corner and hopefully the GTX980ti too.

Especially when the r9 390x seems to beat the titanX' 3D performance while costing only 50-70% of it. Titan gpu aren't really designed for purely gaming.

The previous Titans were indeed budget workstation cards, but with the loss of enhanced FP64 performance, the Titan X IS purely a gaming card.
