[SOLVED] Will intel i7 920 bottleneck GTX 1070 ?

MotherBoard: GigaByte X58A-UD7
RAM: Adata DDR3 8GB 1600Mhz
EVGA 650W

Is my 920 still good enough for 1080p gaming

It's good enough for F.E.A.R, Doom 3 (2004), Quake 4, and the Medal of Honor series..

The processor would be somewhat painful on many modern games, however...

Damn thats huge bottleneck , you will need at least Ryzen 5 2600 according to Bottleneck calculator in order to match GTX 1070

Bottleneck calculators are pretty garbage and often suggest problems where there arent any.
In this specific case though I would assume the IPC of the 920 will hold you back significantly. If you want to upgrade you are looking at a switch of the platform.
