I have a intel i5 8400 with stock cooler and a msi gtx 1070 armour OC edition, these two parts will work well together right ? Also what does OC edition mean? Does it come overclocked ?

i5-8400 is not a bottleneck for GTX 1070, they will work fine together.
OC means OverClocked. In case of your GTX 1070 ARMOR 8G OC it has Core Clocks 1556 MHz / 1746 MHz while standard GTX 1070 has 1506 MHz / 1683 MHz
