Hello guys,

im asking if my cpu is bottlenecking my current gpu or vice versa. Im considering to upgrade my current gtx 970 to an rx580. Should I do it or just leave it? And will my CPU bottleneck my new gpu too?

Specs:
cpu - i5-4570 @3.2 GHZ
gpu - GTX 970 MSI 4GB
mb - Fatal1ty H87 Performance
ram - 8GB Ballistix 1600 MHZ
power adapter - 450 watt (dont know brand)

Solution
I would leave it until it can't perform or some new technology forces you to upgrade. Only real upgrade path is a Vega 56 (Good luck finding one) or a GTX1070 and up.

450W power supply of an unknown brand is a little light for the higher end GPUs. Vega would be out of the question.
