and my full components are :

geforce 9500gt
kingston value 4gb

Corsair GS700 700watt gaming series

will it bottleneck if i attach my new r9 280x?
or should i overclock my phenom too?

Solution
I've never overclocked the Phenom II x4 965 Black CPU, but I understand it can go 3.8 GHz without too much difficulty, and up to 3.9 GHz with slight adjustment to CPU voltage.

There are plenty of articles/comments on how to overclock the Phenom CPU, if you do a search using Google. Plus there is this You Tube video showing how to overclock (I haven't seen this video myself).

Overclocking the Phenom may not be necessary unless specific software is run and it is found that the CPU may be bottlenecking. Then the CPU may be looked at for overclocking.
This depends on how software uses the hardware. Software might be more CPU oriented, or might be more video card oriented.

If you find that frame rates (for gaming) change very little or not at all after changing game screen resolution, then the CPU will be the bottleneck. The CPU could then be overclocked to help compensate.

Do you know how much ghz will I get with my phenom?
Sorry I don't know anything about oc'ing

Sorry for bad English
