Okay heres the deal

Im getting a Gtx970. Atm im looking between the Gigabyte and the Msi cards. I think the Gigabyte will be better looking with my case. But on some forums it says it wont fit in some cases...

Question 1:
I have currently a Palit gtx 580 installed in an Antec 902 V3. Is the Gigabyte gtx970 G1 going to be too large for my case or do I have to go with the smaller Msi card?

The Gigabyte will be better looking with this case and is also €8 cheaper than the Msi :) Also it is better than the Msi in performance not OC

Question 2:
Also is it possible to put this GTX970 in SLI with my older Gtx 580 wich I currently have installed?

Thank you :)

Solution
That is a drive bay and 'should' be reomvable, your should try asking Antec. Also, check up some reviews from Techpowerup, Anandtech, Guru3D, they all say MSI is the coolest, most OCable 970. I've not tested all but all the reviews point to MSI in terms of cooling.
Okay I will get rid of the 580, replace it with the 970 and sell the 580. Imma open my case and see if theres enough space around the current gpu. If there is I will go with gigabyte otherwise the msi

Well I think I will go for the Gigabyte. For me its slightly cheaper(around €10) it runs alot cooler than the MSI. It has a backplate, but MSI has a mouse pad.. and it runs only slightly louder than the MSI. Base performance and overclocking options are better than the MSI. So for me the Gigabyte wins 😉

Well I just checked the dimensions of the GTX970 and I highly doubt any will fit in my case. To show you I took some pictures.

As you can see theres a vertical iron bar at the inside at the middle with 4 silver screws in. Think it holds the plates to put a HD on etc. Its an iron bar wich cant be removed. I think it wont be possible to place a gtx 970 in it with these lengths: L=312mm, W=129mm, H=43mm,

A Gtx 970 is about 5cm longer and 2cm wider...

On other forums I read that the G1 is about 7° degrees colder on full load than the MSI...

Okay I will do that tomorrow... I have sent Antec a message(ticket system). I will get a response within 24hours

I hope it fits. Doesnt seem like it.. :)

Thank you... but it wont fit.

Here is the answer of Antec:

Thank you for contacting Antec Inc. in regards to your inquiry, the 902 V3

This video card won't fit on this case unfortunately

Thank You

So MSI it is then... :) And about the 780ti. That one is alot more expensive and uses alot more power so I wont be able to SLI it in the future without changing psu. Also the 780ti isnt ALOT better than the MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G card :)

It's funny how you post links that compare a reference gtx 970 and an overclocked 780TI and then claim 780Ti to be better.
