Will it fit?

Hi, I have an HP p6741c-b desktop PC that I got 3-4 years ago. I want to add an Asus GTX 750 1 GB OC Edition to replace my integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200. However, eveything is good except for the card's size. Will it fit into my PC case?

I couldn't find pictures of your system's internals. All I could find is this - you tell me if it looks like your computer, at least:

From the second link the 5th picture out of all 12 is especially interesting.

If that's your system, you should be able to fit the GPU you're interested in, but I've jsut spotted in the first picture that the side panel (left one as you're looking from the back of the tower) has a thumbscrew, which should greatly facilitate opening the case. If that's the case, please remove that thumbscrew and slide the panel back - take a picture of your computer's internals - I'd like to see your PSU, your motherboard and the slot configuration.
If this happens to be your motherboard, it's compatible:

According to this document, your power supply unit is capable of providing 250W and features no PCIExpress connectors. TheASUS GTX 750 1GB OC Edition doesn't require PCI Express connectors as it only needs the 75W provided through the motherboard slot. The Athlon II X4 640 your system seems to be equipped with (correct me if I'm wrong) can consume 170W, which is too close to the supposed 250W limit your PSU could have. Get us a picture of your PC internals!

Based solely on the fact that the ASUS GPU doesn't require additional power straight from the power supply, I'd say you could use it in your PC, but I'm a little concerned about the power supply. If that one can't handle the ASUS GPU, you will experience bluescreens of death, sudden reboots and possibly end up with a computer that doesn't turn on anymore until you get a better power supply unit.

This is my motherboard, and would I have five spare watts of power after I add the GTX 750?

Well, if that's your motherboard and you have the 250W Power Supply Unit, considering the CPU power consumption varies between 105W - 175W for that specific model you've got, you should have 75W for the GPU, HDD, DVD, card reader, RAM and fans.
I'll approximate the CPU power consumption to a 150W + 75W max GPU + around 25W HDD&card reader - you're pretty much at the limit with it, but given those are approximations, your system should handle the hardware - I wouldn't bet my life on Full Load scenarios (read: latest games / video conversion...rendering...) though.
Physically, I would need a picture of your PC internals to see if the GPU would fit, but judging by this picture, you shouldn't have any problems with the physical size of the GPU:

I think I remember my inital measurements for the PCI-e slot's GPU space; it was around 7 inches, probably 8 if you squeeze it in.

The ASUS GTX 750 1GB OC Edition has the following dimensions:
"7.28 " x 4.53 " x 1.41 " Inch"

It should fit without a problem. Good luck and thanks for selecting my answer as the solution!
