Question will it help with lag in games like fortnite if i upgrade my ram and get an ssd

You are below the minimum system requirements for Fortnite. According to System Requirements Lab, you need at the very minimum an i3 processor with a 2.4 GHz clock speed.
Adding RAM will help with overall system responsiveness, and an SSD will help with load times, but you will continue to have a bad experience running games like this unless you upgrade your CPU.
