I just bought a whole new build and every time I unplugged my hdd to add on another computer or back to mine it would not work. Errors, corrupted for sure. Is there a way not to have this problem?

and will it happen to the sdd? I want my old hhd on my new rig, forgot to plug it in but would just boot repair keeping all the files?

I'll remember that next time! Since I did it without knowing, many many times in the past as well (reformatted each time)...is there a fix to repair it keeping everything without the need to upgrade\or in windows.old

type 'chkdsk' into start. this should initiate a check disk run on your drive on the next start.

It's possible that maybe each time you unplugged you got unlucky and corrupted something. I have been able to unplug disks before, but I haven't lost any data doing so.
