i need help with choosing a 2x4gb ram or 2x8
is it worth it?

Go with the 16gb kit.

If it is a gaming PC, i would definitely go for 16gb.

If it is for office work / simple, older games / simple programming / internet etc, You can go with 2x4GB and upgrade later if needed.

Depends on Your needs and budget. 8 GB of ram is still good enough, but not recommended in 2019 ;-) Especially if it comes at the 70% of 16gb price.
