Will ivy bridge box cooler work with skylake?

I have i3 3220 and box cooler that comes with and and ive recently bought 6500 Tray with gammaxx 300 but it was out-of-stock. Will box cooler from 3220 work fine with 6500? And do intel BOX coolers differ from each other at all?

the 1150/1151/1155 cooler are all the same size and foot print. the 775/133/2011 coolers have bracets that line up the cooler to the mb screw holes. those coolers the patter not the same as 11xx coolers.

Yeah... but does it have the same specs and TDP... though skylake cpus are pretty cold

But the cooler mounting is different, Skylake is LGA1151 and Ivy Bridge LGA1155 meaning you can't use your CPU cooler there ;/

Oh lol, my fault, after some more search I found that the mounting pins are the same, so yeah the cooler should work fine for you

Ah, sorry for the wrong info, thats probably because 2011-XX coolers won't fit to the LGA1150 and vice-versa, anyway, learned something new today xD

ib were rated at 77w. tdp. haswell and the newer skylake were 90-100w tdp. the thermal went up a little do to the higher end ipgpu inside the cpu.
