Will KVM switch work for all-in-one and tower computer?

I am helping a friend who needs to have both an all-in-one and a tower computer in a very small space. A KVM switch would allow sharing a monitor, video, and mouse. But I am not clear if a KVM switch will work with an all-in-one since it has no separate video connection. Perhaps a VGA-USB adapter could be made to work? In general I'd think it should not be much different than using a laptop with a KVM.

FWIW, the tower is a Windows 7 machine; the all-in-one is Windows 10. My friend strongly prefers a hardware solution like a KVM switch if possible.

Solution
If his intention is to get get video from the tower to dispaly on the AIO then that not likely to happen. I don't know of any AIO's that have a video input port which is what would be needed.

If he does not need a great quality video signal, he can simply connect the tower to the network and then use a screen sharing utility like Remote Desktop Connection or one of the flavors of VNC

Please forgive the very delayed response. I'm not sure why I let the fact I hadn't said anything or marked the answer slip by unnoticed. My apologies, and thanks for the help. It was appreciated.
