Good afternoon everyone,

I purchased this adapter

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B082D6RF6S?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Along with this ssd

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07ZPRV8JY?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

The PC is a hp pavilion TG01-1xxx the motherboard is HP 8767

I have the adapter and the SSD installed but is not being recognized. Just wondering if this set up will even work. I was under the impression it would work, but at pcie x1 speeds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure what to look for in bios. Honestly not sure what it would be called in device manager either. It for sure doesn't show the drive in disk management though

It’s kind of hit and miss which specific motherboards support NVME expansion cards. Most system builder boxed motherboards do, most major manufacturer motherboards (Dell, HP, etc) don’t.
