will MSI 1060 6gb work with Intel i7-6700 and GA-H110M-S2HP motherboard?

I upgraded my GPU from 960 to 1060, but somehow I cannot get a better performance out of it, even though I overclocked it. Could my motherboard be the bottleneck? Or the CPU?

I did do some research and did find that 1060 is compatible with my CPU, but now, because of the underperformance, I'm not too sure.
